He was a low guy. He just kisses his long time crush and does not go after his woman when she sees. It was gross and I think she is WAY better off without him. She was a great heroine, fun and sweet. I did not like him like I thought I would. He seemed so sweet and protective of those he loved in other books but in his, he could not seem to get his act together. I mean they were together for like 5 months before he found out who her ex was. Why does that matter and why would he choose his band over the one woman he loved!!! I secretly like that he only made out with Nikki but she let Derek go further. That is karma for you. I wish she would have told him how far she did go instead of saying they were about to have sex. I would have loved it if these "players" would get a taste of what it is like to always be the virginal, chaste heroine while the man can do what he wants and still get his woman in the end. I am a bit vindictive that way, LOL!

I just can't get enough of these boys. I'm thoroughly enjoyed the dynamics and I love that Kade hasn't changed in this book...he makes me laugh. Bring on James and all of his secrets...
I may have read one of the other books in the series because the characters really seemed familiar. The story itself was fair. It could have been longer, but it comes to a good conclusion. It had a lot of different characters, but I'm guessing they are more prominent in the other books in the series. I
Great book! I really enjoyed this book. It was real. You fall in love, and the heart want what it want. Ryder and Lexi couldn't stay apart. I liked that. I also liked the ending. They were truthful about what they did while they were apart. On to the next one.
This mini-Ryder book was great. So great I wish it would have been longer! Oh well, it was a great tease that definitely will have me coming back for more. Of course, we already knew the mistake Ryder was going to make with Lexi from Kade & Nikki's book. What we didn't know was HOW MUCH HE SUCKED because of it. Man I was so mad at him. I was hoping they weren't as in love as they were when it happened. Bad man that angst felt so good! Kudos ladies for writing it so well. Ryder was a perfect alpha hero. So good I wished for a little damsel in distress danger to show his over protectiveness even more because I totally love that stuff. But even without it, it was all good.
I loved that the separation wasn't drawn out and that even though he made a huge mistake with Nikki that made Lexi wonder if she meant anything at all, it was what he DIDN'T do that allowed the reader to see that he really did love her and wasn't being a total douche-bag, and you really could forgive him right along with the heroine.
Can't wait for the next book! Also, thank you authors for not making us wait long for each book. It is so exciting to pick up the next book because I already know without looking back where we are at and who's who. I know it may not always be like that, but because these first few have been close, it's guaranteed me not to veer too far from their stories.
The men in this series are amazing! Each one better than the last. Ryder is no exception. We get a sense of his fierce loyalty and protective nature in earlier books. We really get to know him when he starts dating Lexi. I love how all of these books are entwined and we continue to catch up with prior characters. Can't wait to read James's story next!
This was a well written quick read. I have binge read this series and loved the characters. The storylines are very emotional. Very talented writer.
The time line is all whacked. I read Saxon first and then read this. The cousin Jet it's 21 in Saxon and also he's 21 in this book. But then in Saxon it said that it had been a few years since Ryder and lexi got together, and Tee is a lawyer who's only about in her early 20's (i think she said about 23). But then after she became a lawyer she's been jetting around the world for 3 years. So in Australia does a person graduate from high school when they are 12? Or does it only take a year to get an 8 years college degree to become a lawyer? To the author your whacked on your timeline or do you just not care? I get that your writing a fantasy but you're fantasy is supposed to be believable human beings right? If you do have an editor you need to fire them and get a better editor or if you don't have one please get one. I like your characters but your stories need SERIOUS major reworking.
